As part of the events commemorating the 500th anniversary of the passing of Elio Antonio de Nebrija, Queen Letizia attended the "Nebrija" exhibition at the National Library of Spain (Biblioteca Nacional de España) in Madrid.
According to Wikipedia, "Antonio de Nebrija was the most influential Spanish humanist of his era. He wrote poetry, commented on literary works, and encouraged the study of classical languages and literature, but his most important contributions were in the fields of grammar and lexicography." The exhibition brings together more than one hundred of his works.
