For her final public engagement of 2018, the Queen of Spain attended the 5th edition of the National Fashion Industry Awards at the Museo del Traje in Madrid.
Letizia, a long time champion of Spanish fashion, presented awards to the country's most acclaimed fashion industry professionals.
Sartorially speaking, Queen Letizia ended the year in a similar way she started it - with a royal recycle from her mother-in-law!
The red blouson dress (or separates) once belonged to Queen Sofia, and date back to 1980 when she and her husband visited Denmark.
You may recall Queen Letizia first wore a vintage dress from Queen Sofia's closet in January for King Don Juan Carlos 80th Birthday celebration.
Letizia teamed the vintage piece with her custom red Magrit suede pointed vamp pumps and Carolina Herrera 'Maysa' clutch bag.
She rounded off the all-red ensemble with her cabochon ruby and diamond dangle earrings.
FASHION FLASHBACK
Below is a recollection of Letizia's past looks for this annual event which launched in 2014. She did not attend the 2015 ceremony because her grandfather passed away the night before the event, so she received the winners at the Palace of La Zarzuela in April 2016.
Their Majesties are expected to resume royal duties in the first week of the new year when they preside over the traditional celebration of the Pascua Militar on 6th January 2019.
Feliz Navidad and Happy New Year to all my readers!
