The Queen of Spain arrived in Mozambique this evening ahead of a 2-day cooperation trip to the southern African nation.
The visit marks her fourth cooperation trip since becoming Queen consort - an initiative started by her mother-in-law, Doña Sofía in 1997. To date, Queen Letizia has made three trips of this kind, to Honduras and El Salvador in 2015, to Senegal in 2017, and to the Dominican Republic and Haiti in May 2018.
The purpose of the visit is to see first-hand the projects carried out by Spanish Cooperation in Mozambique. The Spanish Cooperation is the sum of all people, institutions, resources and skills that Spain offers to developing countries with the end goal of contributing to human development, the eradication of poverty and full access to rights.
Despite the long haul flight, Her Majesty looked fabulous in an all-blue ensemble. She disembarked wearing an indigo blue CH Carolina Herrera denim shirt dress from the designer's SS19 range (with thanks to @HeavenQRF on Twitter for the ID). The dress in cotton denim features a flared skirt, shirt collar, short sleeves and concealed button fastening. It is finished with a detachable matching belt.
Letizia teamed the dress with familiar Carolina Herrera accessories. She carried the navy 'Baret' flap clutch bag and on her feet she wore navy suede slingback pumps.
She finished the look with simple diamond stud earrings.
