It was a busy day of public engagements for the Spanish Queen. She first joined her husband King Felipe VI at the Palace of Zarzuela to receive in audience Ona Carbonell Ballestero, a synchronized swimming world campion.
Queen Letizia then visited the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial to attend a meeting with the directors of the Instituto Cervantes in which summarized the institute's main campaigns for the international promotion of the Spanish language and culture.
