The King and Queen of Spain held a video conference on Thursday with Juan Roig Alfonso, president of Mercadona, the Spanish supermarket chain, at Palacio de la Zarzuela.

Juan Roig Alfonso was accompanied by his management team, he expressed pride for the 90,000 Mercadona workers. Roig highlighted the value of the agrifood chain, in which 2.5 million people work daily; farmers, ranchers, transporters and industry, to supply businesses with necessary products. He stressed that it is important that the economy does not stop, but always guarantees the safety and health of workers.
