The King and Queen of Spain visited the National Museum of Natural Sciences (MNCN) in Madrid which re-opened its doors on the 5th of June following the COVID-19 lockdown.
The MNCN is one of the most important scientific research institutes in Spain in the field of natural sciences. It has more than 70 researchers in areas ranging from paleobiology and geology, to ecology and climate change, through to environmental biology and biodiversity.
The Museum is one of the symbolic centers of the Higher Council for Scientific Research. Their Majesties visited the Laboratory of Molecular Systematics and Genetics of Populations and toured some of the Museum's permanent exhibitions.
